The LIONSHEE BZ0003-LFP-280A is a 12.8V 280Ah lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with 3584Wh of stored energy. It is built as a direct drop-in upgrade for a 12V lead-acid battery in motorhomes, boats, solar installations and off-grid systems, in the same familiar block format with bolt-type screw terminals and a side carry handle. Up to 16 units can be combined in a 4S4P configuration for larger 48V storage banks.
12.8V and 280Ah give 3584Wh of energy from a single battery. With 100% depth of discharge, the full capacity stays available, while a lead-acid battery of the same nominal size is normally limited to 80%.
The LiFePO4 cells are rated for more than 15000 charge cycles and a service life of up to 10 years. A comparable lead-acid battery reaches 300-500 cycles and around 3 years.
The sealed housing is rated IP67 against rain, splash water and dust, which keeps the battery usable in outdoor, camping and off-grid installations.
The built-in battery management system provides over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection, and balances the cells during every charge.
At 26kg (57.32 lbs) the battery weighs roughly half of a comparable 50kg lead-acid battery, and the side carry handle makes installation and removal a one-person job.
Up to 16 units can be wired in a 4S4P configuration, which allows the system to grow with the solar array or the vehicle without replacing the existing batteries.
