Vertical solar panels are often dismissed as a poor substitute for a south-facing roof. A Dutch solar company tested that on one residential property: 50 LIONSHEE LS-SP240 240 W flexible panels mounted vertically on a garden fence (12.00 kWp), monitored in the same app as the 36.72 kWp south-facing roof array next to it. In week 39 the fence produced 222 kWh, or 18.50 kWh per installed kWp; the roof produced 658 kWh, or 17.92 kWh per kWp. Per kWp, the fence was 3.2% ahead. A factory in Belgium was already generating from a rigid rooftop PV array mounted on ballasted tilt frames across the flat roof areas. What those areas did not cover was the barrel vault running down the centre of the building, a continuously curved surface with no plane to seat a frame on. The customer bought 20 LIONSHEE 240 W flexible modules for that vault, adding 4800 W - 4.8 kWp - of rated capacity without touching the rigid array already in service. An independent event equipment supplier in South Korea needed a lightweight generating surface for a temporary concert canopy on a fixed deadline. The final order, placed on 4 August 2026, was 16 packs of two 240 W LIONSHEE flexible modules, 32 modules and 7.68 kWp in total. The cartons were reinforced with wooden framing and the carrier record shows delivery completed on 11 August at 09:55 local time, one day ahead of the requested date. The customer confirmed a successful installation on 17 August and reported that the finished canopy was used at a BIGBANG concert.
