A customer in Cambodia needed a practical solar power solution for agricultural work in rice fields where grid electricity was not available. Instead of building a fixed ground-mounted system, the customer chose a mobile off-grid setup installed on a farm trailer.

The solution used four 240W flexible solar panels mounted across the trailer roof, connected to the customer's existing off-grid power system with an inverter, MPPT charge controller, and battery storage.

Power Needed in the Rice Fields

Many farms need electricity far from a stable utility connection. In this project, the customer said the system would be used in rice fields because there was no electricity there. That made portability and simple installation important.

A fixed rooftop or ground-mounted system was not the best match for the use case. The customer needed power that could move with farm work, so a trailer-mounted solar setup was a practical choice.

This configuration gives the farm a mobile solar charging source for the battery system. The inverter can then provide AC power for suitable loads within the system's real operating limits.
